Merry Christmas all. My docter has finally agreed to let  me have  surgery for my massive body . I have followed this site a long time and I would like to learn more from you. I live in PhiladelphIa and  close to several doctors. Could you suggest a doctor, and if they take Medicare and Medicaid,  Once you call for an appointment what is the paper trail and test they need for them to set a date for surgery, It seems like I have waited forever. Kathy, There is a Dr. Michael King in Oxford that accepts Medicare/Medicaid. His number is 662-234-3303. Not sure how far that is from you. I believe the paper trail is much like that for insurance approval, proof of weight loss attempts, medical records proving you have been over weight for the past 3-5 years etc.  I don't know anything about himor his track record. You could give them a call and I am pretty sure they will be able to tell you what you need to have and how to get started.  Hope this helps a little.

I am not sure if this is right, but I was told MS medicaid will not pay for it. Only Medicare currently.
