old and new

Hey yall- It has been a while since my last post.  Lots of "new " posts.  I see a few I know like Marci, Melissa, Deanna, .... Does anyone hear form Arlies?  I have lost her address and cell phone.  I don't think she uses a land line.  What about her husband???? The challenging days of weight loss are here.  THERE IS FOOD EVERYWHERE!!!!!  I read a good tip in a magazine recently.   At a party take only a small amount of the foods you know you like.   I hope to post more and get  back on support group meetings.   Anyone know of any on Thurdsday evenings?  I don't mind driving if it is worthwhile.   glenda

Hello Ms Glenda I am in bad need of weight support. I am always tied up on Mondays also. I am going to try for the 21st though. I am starting overeaters AA----it is at a church in Hattiesburg. I have a food addiction and need help asap. I have gained 40 pds at least that I know of. So glad to hear from you. Let's get together next THurs night if you are available? Hey Girl!  Great to see you posted, I have been wondering how you were doing!  Hope you had a great Christmas!  I have not heard from Queen Arlies in a while....  I just pray that she and Jim are doing fine, I worry about them so much! We actually just got back from Florida, took the kids to Disney for Christmas!  Boy, that sure was alot of walking, I lost 5 pounds this week - finally down to 176 lbs!  I needed that kick start since lately my weight had pretty much stabilized!  We left out on Dec. 21st and came back last night!  It was great but I sure missed my grandparents and my Daddy, it just didn't feel like Christmas being away from the rest of my family and not home to celebrate with them!  But the boys had a blast and I was so glad we were able to take them!  I told my hubby that I know I would never have survived Disney if I had not lost the weight... I certainly would not have been able to ride most of the rides if I still weighed 332lbs!  Poor Danny was having a hard time keeping up with me for a change... lol Hope we can all meet up and see each other soon!

Glenda Rowell - This is your favorite student from Home Ec class at WCHS the school year 1988-1989 when I was a 14-15 year old ninth grader.  It's unbelievable that it's been 19 years since you were my teacher, even though I recall seeing you once or twice in Laurel.  I had heard you had surgery and I am dying to see the new you.  Yes - I had surgery myself - a gastric sleeve on June 16, 2007.  My brother is also having the same surgery sometime in the next month.  I want you to look me up if you are ever in the Jackson area, for lunch or anything else.  Let me know if there is a support group you go to in Jackson.  I am looking to join one.
