Prayers for Lorrie E

It has been a really long time since Lorrie posted anything on this board, but she used to post regularly on here.  So, I thought we could pray for her and her family right now.  I got to work this morning, and one of the ladies I work with knew that I knew her through this site so she shared with me that Lorrie and her son were in a very bad car accident over the weekend.  Lorrie is in ICU at Forrest General here in Hattiesburg.  Her nine year old son was killed in the accident.  I don't know if Lorrie even knows that yet or not.  But, anyway, I just cannot imagine what they must be going through.  So, a few extra prayers for them certainly can't hurt.  My friend Donna here at work lives in Wiggins where she is from and attends the same church I think.  So, I will try and find out more information so I can update later today or maybe tomorrow.

As moms/parents I know we can only image how utterly horrible this is for them.  I will certainly pray for her recovery and for some kind of peace for them through their grief.  Thanks Melissa - D

Gosh! I will add Lorrie and her family to our prayer list for sure! I have been at FGH the entire weekend with my husband...he was admitted early Saturday morning with pneumonia.  Thankfully he is better and being discharged today ... I will try to stop by and check on any family member that might be in ICU.  Thanks for the info. Wanda Mack

I am sorry to hear your hubby has been in the hospital.  I am glad they got him well and you guys get to go home.  That is nice of you to check on Lorrie.  I am sure her family will appreciate it.  I am going to try and go by there myself.  I heard today that she has several broken bones and a skull fracture or two.  I was also told that she has been conscious and is aware that her son has died.  They are keeping her sedated from what I understand.  The whole thing just breaks my heart.  He was her only child.  And she loved him dearly. 

So sad. I can't even imagine the pain she is in physically and most of all emotionally. There is an article about the wreck in the Sunherald.com. Happened late Sat night. She apparently fell asleep. I will ck on her Wed evening after Jeremy's 5 pm Dr. appt. I will post after that.  So sorry this has happened. What age is she? Does anyone know about what age she is? JAne

Lorrie is around 32 or 33 years old I believe. 

I will add them to our prayer chain.  Please keep us updated as best you can.  I am so sad for them.  I don't even have any words.

I just read her profile/blog and my heart aches for her.  She's been enjoying her weight loss because she was able to enjoy her little boy so much.  I'll add her to my prayers.  No words can convey the sorrow I feel for her losing her little boy like that, but please whoever visits her let her know how much we care.
