help
I'm a little shy of 2 years out from surgery---and normally have no problems....however, thanksgiving proved to me that if I eat unusually rich food, the gas will come! haha. it's funny now, but it wasn't funny the other night as I laid in the bed thinking that something bad was going on. I really thought I was going to have to go to the ER....but in a few hours, it finally passed. it was gas. try to keep a diary of what you eat--see if there are trigger foods that increase your symptoms. i only had problems right after thanksgiving--but i ate dressing, turkey, veggies, casseroles, etc. lots of stuff i don't usually eat. it was good (and in moderation compared to what i'd eaten two years ago!) but i won't do that again until christmas...heh. and then not again till next year.
walk walk walk. lots of water. those will help with gassy pains/pressure/fullness. other than that--time. i've never had luck with the over the counter meds for gas/pain. good luck!
