Terry Even if Dr. Dolan decides that open is the way to go it isn't to bad. My scar is just a thin white line with tiny little dots from the staples. I'm a year and half out. I was back at work in 2 weeks, but I sit alot at work. I'm glad your back on the schedule. Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for the info. I was a little apprehensive about having the open surgery, but this makes me feel better about it. I too have a sitting job, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem for me. I am so ready to have it done that I don't care what has to be done. I want to be around to watch my grandchildren grow up. Everyone on this message board has been so helpful and nice to share their experiences with me. It has meant so much to me to have this support. Thanks to all of you. God bless you!
