LEGINA - little better still !!

Talked with Haley (Legina's precious precious daughter).  She had texed me that "mom ate real food today"....well I was so excited I called Haley immediately and we talked forever - LeGina got a tray of food today and Haley was able to feed her some soft foods - LeGina has a trach now and can mouth words - said she always hated cooked carrots, but those were SOOOO good !  Her blood infection is getting better all the time.  They have cut off the ventilator.  The trach appliance is too large and will have to be replaced so she can speak.  She is off the Dopamine (drug that kept her blood pressure from going too low and bottoming out)...So she is regulating her own blood pressure.  Still not using her arms, just too weak.  Haley has told her about Danny being gone and computer and everything.  I asked her what her mom said about Danny, and she said that she did not want him to come back and was glad he was gone.  That, to me, is a big blessing.  I was worried she would be just so sad, I am personally very glad she is okay with this news.  I had prayed that she would have peace with this, so prayer answered there too. It just sounds like she is getting better still little by little......She is just an amazing beautiful strong person.  They are still thanking you all for the wonderful support you give!  Haley told me to be sure to update ! That is great news Deanna!!!  I'm so glad LeGina is doing better. Hey!! eating real food is a plus in my books. That is a big step in the positive direction. Thanks for keeping us updated!! Does Haley or her daughter need anything? Rest of the family?? I don't know about anyone else, but I would like to get my two hands on Danny!!!  If I can't get a hold of him, I'll let God do the punishing!  That Danny is something else.... so selfish considering the cir****tances! He is a very selfish individual indeed !!  I believe he just stuck it out for a little while because we were bringing him food, buying him meals, etc., taking care of him.  He seems to just live off whoever will have him at the moment, if I'm reading that right from her family......Who knows, good riddance - But you know me, it still makes me sad and mad at the same time..... And, mmm don't you remember how good it felt to just hold some food in your mouth....It's been a long time for her.....she's gonna be quite smaller when she leaves the hospital this time !!! Bet she cannot wait... D

thats awesome about legina...i've had her in my prayers daily...  to have real food *is* an accomplishment in the medical arena.  that's terrific.  she's definitely come a long way.  i hope she continues to improve. you're such a doll for keeping up.  :)  you're an angel for sure (whether you want to be or not!) haha.  lunch soon? mary

some better--but only because of the cyclosporin (my immune system is now shut down).  they decided i was allergic to the IUD.  I had it removed today, so hopefully soon i will get relief.  who would think itching would really drive you insane?!  a new torture method--give them somethign they're allergic to and then make them itch for two months!  it's been awful. ...and *gasp*  i miss going to the gym. who would've thought i would miss the gym?! anyway.  you tell me when you can do lunch.  friday i cannot.  other than that, i'm free all week. mary

Hey Deann , I have been out of the loop for awhile now, had my own DS surgery on the 11th , did we ever get her the new computer? I would like to go and buy a laptop lock for her , I can drive it to her, so she wont worry about this one getting taken.  rhonda

You're so sweet !  Laptop was kinda on hold since she had that big turn for the worst, Tammy and I, hopefully will be talking with LeGina about getting this done soon -  She is still too weak to do anything with her arms.....But, the nurses said they have somewhere to lock it up when not in use! D

That is great news.  I am so glad she is continually improving.  She has had so many people praying for her, and we will certainly continue to do so.  Thanks for keeping us all updated.  You're a realy sweetheart.  I love ya girl. Melissa
