Meridain Meetting

Hey everyone got this email from MS. Judy Nutt and wanted to post it for her so everyone will know that the meetings have started back. Hope everyone has a great weekend. missy Hey You’se Guys !!! Well, we had a bit of a “vacation” from the support group – August & September.  We were having so few people show up – that I felt maybe everyone needed a “break” or something.  I hope the decline in attendance was just from “ballgames” & “vacations” & the like -- & not just a loss of interest.  I know “I” need “ya’ll” – to keep “me” on the straight & narrow – so a lot of me wanting to keep the support group going – is purely selfish – because I need to stay focused & do what I’m “supposed” to do – to keep from gaining weight back – after gastric bypass surgery -- & meeting once a month helps those old habits – not try & sneak back into my life. 

 

I put the announcement in the Meridian Star – this time  under the “Community Calendar” – hoping it would draw folks who maybe have not heard about our group.  I didn’t know this could be done – free of charge, til I saw & spoke with Shelly Atwood ---who by the way is a TOTAL inspiration to ALL !!!  If you know of anyone who might be interested in joining us – please tell them to come or call me.  It’s truly for ANYONE even remotely interested in the surgery – before OR after.  Each of us has “some” pearls of wisdom to share & it could be a great help to someone else – you never know !!

 

I hope to see you all Monday evening – to share with us all - any & everything you’re going through.  We want to be there for you to cheer you on or even give you a shoulder to lean or cry on.

 

Please come to the East Mississippi Electric Power Association auditorium & use the south end of the building - door entrance to the lobby at 5:30 pm – Monday – October 1, 2007.   Also, would someone be so kind – as to please post this on the Obesity Help site for me. I would truly appreciate it.
