It's been a few years since my research of BCBS of MS....but I checked into it on several different occasions (changed jobs...still had bcbs of ms...)  they had an exclusion clause that specifically forbid coverage of anything related to weight loss (so they wouldn't cover surgery, pills, exercise, or anything similar...even with doctor order)  So good luck if you can get them to pay anything!  please let us know how it goes. mary

I have BCBS-Highmark ins all I had to do was call coustmer service they told each item that was  required and the paper work need to support my statements. I had to do 6 mo diet, phy eval, nut cousling, and exersice program with trainer.  t took me from August 06 till March 07 to it all there requirment mmet. I had surgery (lap r-n-y ) in May 07.  If you keep in contact with Becky  Wilson and let her  handle the paper work with ins you will probly not have a problem. She knows how to word thngs they way ins like them and how to push the paperwork to the right place for fast approval.  She  saved me a lot of hassel.  IT TAKES TIME AND PATINCE THAT'S FOR SURE    Iwanted surgery right way but was forced to go through the system. I had surgery May 07 and have lost  65and lost 40lbs on the diet exercise program which makes my total 105 lbs in a year. For me it was the best thing i've ever done .  All I will say stay the course  you won't regret it.

It just depends on your policy.  Each policy is different.  If BanCorp South chose to cover it, they still have different options.  I will look at the BanCorp South policy for you. Adam
