Friday LeGina Update

I just left the hospital and LeGina looked great considering what she has been through. She is having a very tough time emotionally. I mean very tough. She is fully awake and I told her everyone was praying for her and thinking and asking for her. She said "Thank you and tell them I Love them." They did do the tracheostomy today so she is still on the ventilator. She can mouth words but she has no voice right now. She is on medication to stabilize her blood pressure and heart rate and she is still very sick but her kidneys are working very good, so that is a big improvement. Please keep her in your prayers.

I am so glad to hear she seems to be improving some.  That is great news.  I hope she continues to get better with each passing day.  You said her kidneys are starting to work.  Her liver had also shut down if I remember correctly.  So, is it back functioning too?  I hope so.  That would be wonderful.  We will all continue to pray for her.  Thanks so much for keeping us all updated.  Hope you have a nice weekend. They didn't say anything about her liver and the mood was very strained so I didn't ask. Her coloring was very good though not jaundiced like you would expect with liver failure so I am assuming it is also functioning. She is on Dopamine at the max dose so that is very concerning. Her defeatist attitude also really worries me. I told her to hang in there.

I can't imagine what she must be going through.  I hope she can find the strength and determination to hang in there and not give up.   Melissa
