I have a date!!!!

I have a date and it is.... drum roll please..... next Thursday September 6th!!!! I'm so excited and it's all of a sudden.. The nurse called me today to set up my pre-op appts for next Wednesday and said that I would get my date then.. Then about an hour later she calls me back and she didn't know that Dr. Dolan had already scheduled me to go to the O.R. next Thursday and would that be a problem.. I just had to call Rick & my mom to see if all was well.. We got a ticket for my mom and she'll be here next Tuesday night.. So all is a go... I'm so happy right now.. I've been working on this for over a year! Wish me luck.. :)

I am SOOOOO happy for you!!  You know that you are in great hands with Dr. Dolan.  He is wonderful.. I wish I could be there for you...  Please put my name on the list of people to call when you are out of surgery so that I know that all is well.. I will be thinking of you, and if you have any last minute questions, you know I am here for you! Congrats!! Rhonda

April that is Wonderful and and repeat what Rhonda said you are in great hands with Dr Dolan, Just do everything they tell you to do post op and walk walk walk and you will do great! Keep us posted and let us know how you are doing! Amy

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.. I know Dr.Dolan is a great surgeon and that I'm in wonderful talented hands.. I'm the first one to get done at Keesler, besides an open RNY he did a few weeks back. So since I'm one of the firsts I know there is going to be some bumps in the road when it comes to the hospital getting use to have WLS patients, but I'm 110% confindent in Dr.Dolan.  It was super quick from the time she called me but I've been waiting for a year for things to get geared back up at Keesler and I'm so ready for this surgery! Thanks again.. I'll update you all when I get back from surgery...  ****Also anyone that had surgery at Keesler before Katrina, did you all have to do any kind of bowel prep? The nurse told me all I have to do is fast the night before, so I was just wondering if this was the norm for the Keesler program.. Just wondering.. :)
