Hello everyone!  Sorry it's been such a long time since I've posted.  I've been going to Summer School (3 classes) while continuing to work full-time this summer!  It's really been a challenge.  I am doing okay, I guess, the weight loss has STOPPED for me!  I am at 132  (down 118 pounds since my surgery 08/22/06) and have been for about 2 months now.  I have discovered that I can eat JUNK now and it's killing me!  I wish I had never put sugar back into my mouth!  It seems that I crave it!  I really try to watch it, but sometimes I do give in!  My goal was to get down between 115 & 126 before 8/22/07 (1 year)  but it doesn't look like I'll do it!  I have 6 pounds to go to reach 126 in 23 days!  Any advice????   Does anyone else out there just want to graze on food all day long? I catch myself wanting to eat all the time.  I am so afraid that I am going to start gaining!  Also, for you folks that excersie, work and have a family............How do you do it?  I am having the hardest time fitting it into my schedule!  I know that sounds like an excuse but it's true!   Even though I don't post much, I do read from time to time.  You gals and guys really keep me going and motivate me to try and keep on track....Just want to say "Thanks"   Take Care! Hey Lorrie, Girl you look wonderful!!!  I'm so proud of you!!!  I've been wondering how you're doing.  I haven't heard from Pam Lucas in a while either.  Our anniversary is coming up soon - Aug 15th.  My check up with Dr. Avara is on Aug 29th.  I was hoping to be around 130 - 135 by then, but it doesn't look like I'm going to make it.  I've been stuck at 140 - 142 since June. The snack monster attacks me too, not so much for sugar, but anything salty....Fritos and crackers.  I practically crave salt, sometimes I wonder if it's because of all the Crystal Light that I drink.  Sometimes I do have something sweet but it gives me a rush, nervous feeling.  I guess it's still a mild form of dumping. Sounds like you've really been busy.  I admire anyone who can manage a full time job, a family, and go to school too.   Love ya! Pam

You look wonderful also!  Can you believe it's been a year?  My check up with Dr. Avara is 09/7/07.    I was hoping to be at goal (115 - 126) but I am stuck also at 132 and have been for 2 months!  I am still trying to get there though!  I am going to try and do more walking, biking, stairs, etc. between now and August 22.  It would relly be good to accomplish that goal! I haven't heard from Pam L. either.  If I had her number, I'd call her.

Keep in touch!  Good to hear from you!

With everything we have going on in our lives it is so easy to let exercise go first.  But, you just have to make up your mind that you are going to do it and then just do it.  Find what works for you.  I also work full time and have two children that are involved in things.  So, I know if I wait for the evenings to exercise I may not legitimately get to it for things that come up and such.  So, Monday through Friday I go to the gym on my lunch hour and get 45 mintues in.  On Mon, Wed, and Friday I go and do cardio.  Mondays is step class, Wed. is spinning, and Friday is elliptical and treadmill.  Tues. and Thurs. I do weights and the toning ball during lunch.  And to get my cardio in those days I go to the Y at night on Tues and take a step, jump, and jab class and let the kids swim. They love Tuesdays because they know they get to swim once my class is over.  THen on Thursdays I do Leslie Sansone's 3 mile fast walk at home, and my 5 year old loves to do it with me.  Of course, she can't keep up but she does what she can and we laugh and make it fun.  So, you just have to find what works for your family and schedule.  We have a tendency as mothers to take care of everyone around us and leave ourselves for last.  But it is like my doctor told me, if I will take care of me then I will have more energy for everyone else.  And so far he is dead on.  Good luck. It is hard to get started but once you do it just becomes habit and something you do as part of your daily routine. Good to see a post from you.  I have been wondering how you are doing.  Did you ever find out what your tummy trouble was?  Did it end up being your gall bladder? Melissa

Whooo!  Just listening to you makes me tired! Girl, you are a busy woman!  I admire you for keeping up the good work!  I am going to start walking on my lunch break this week and maybe doing the stairs a few times.  I agree with you that I so need to put myself first where excercise is concerned. I do a little biking with my son but not really enough to call it daily excercise! I never did find out about my tummy.  All the test were good and I've not had any trouble since so I guess it's all good!

It's good to hear from you!

Take Care!
