anyone gonna be in UMC in August?

I was wondering if anyone was gonna be in UMC in Jackson after august 13th. I check in on the 13th and I will be alone and pretty bored those first ten days for my pre op. I don't have my panniculus removal till the 22nd. For those of you that don't know me I have a extreme panni to remove. The first ten days I have to meet with alot of doctors to do test and meds change. Actually I am getting really nervous and scared. It just seems like a fantasy that the doctor will cut off 150 lbs. Thats like removing a whole person. I would love to meet some of you. I know after the surgery I have to stay in ICU for several days and I am hoping the pain meds will be good and I will sleep right through that LOL. So if you are gonna be there stop by please.  Does anyone know ifyou can take a laptop with wireless hookup cause if I can my cousin is loaning me hers? Hugs, Legina

Thanks Sonya!  I wish the gang could get together again soon so we can all visit with each other...  I miss not seeing you guys!  This past year has been a true learning experience and it has been so awesome!  Danny tells everyone at work that he has a new wife and didn't have to get rid of the old one! lol He was so against me having this surgery, but he told me that if I felt it was something I had to do then he would support me.... he has definately stood behind me during this past year and he is just as amazed as I am over the changes!   He still worries about me, but I think he is just as glad as I am that I did this!   I hope you are feeling better and hope to see you sometime soon!

I just dropped in on the MS forum (actually just found it)and saw your post. I am very active on the VGS forum but I guess I just didn't realize this forum was even here. I live in Richland and if you need anything, just a visit or anything, drop me a line. I live 5 min. from UMC. Also, a friend of mine is a Dr. at UMC and she said there is not wireless Internet at UMC at this time for patients unless it is new that she didn't know about. I will be getting a wireless adapter for my laptop today. I have to go out of town and need to have access while I am gone. I will let you know how it works. I have never used one before, it hooks up through my cell phone I think. Anyway, in the mean time I will be praying for you and your upcoming surgery.

Nice to meet you. Thanks for the offer I may take you up on  it cause i am sure it will be boring lol. I don't actually know anything about this laptop and how to do the wireless thing but I sure was hoping so as not to be along. hugs, Legina
