Hello -- Newbie from Vicksburg

Hi, My name is Maria and I live in Vicksburg.  I was recently revised to RNY on July 5.  Looking for a local support group meeting and making some new friends.

I had RNY on July 14, 2005 in Bogota, Colombia, South America.  The Hattiesburg Support Group meets on the third Monday of each month.  I hope you are recovering well.

Hello Maria, Welcome to the Mississippi board!  I also live in Vicksburg.  As far as I know there is not a support group in Vicksburg. There is one at CMMC in Jackson.  (But I have to admit, I've been to only one meeting.) The boards offer great support though.  Everyone is friendly and very willing to answer questions. There is going to be a lunch get together at Golden Corral on Lakeland Drive in Jackson on Aug 4th.  I know you can't eat much yet, but maybe you could come and meet everyone. Pam

Meet you on the 4th at the Golden Corrall.  I am still down in my back (L1-L5 bulging disc).  I am currently struggling through the walk aerobics.  While at my parents I used a walker to do my walking.  But I am def. interested in an exercise buddy.  My motto right no is slow and steady wins the race.  My 7 year old and I do the tortise and the hare.  I'm the tortise.
