I have a few questions
I think I posted in the wrong place so I am trying this again lol. I am about 500 to 600 pounds and bed bound at the moment. I have no problem moving at all I just can't stand because of my condition. I have a exremely huge panniculus which is where my stomach hangs below my knees and is very heavy. I wanted to know if anyone has had anything like this removed. I am losing on my own with no bypass surgery yet. I have an appointment with Dr. William Lineaweaver in Jackson. Has anyone ever heard anything about him or used him?
Thanks,
Legina
There are several on here that have had PS lately and can give more info - I just wanted to tell you how proud I am that you are able to loose weight - I hope you can get the plastics soon so you can become mobile -
Please post and let us know how you are doing and just keep asking questions !! Like someone great said not too long ago (Arlies) "this is obesity help.com, not I've had weight loss surgery.com".

Hey Legina,
I am sorry I dont have any info about that surgery either although I need it myself. Ha ha. But that will have to wait as I am currently pg. I hope you find out all the info you need about the surgery and the dr. I know for a fact there are several women on here that have had the surgery and can offer great info for you. I would also like to extend an invite to our support group that is held every third Monday night at 6:30 at Pine Grove Recovery center. The next meeting will be this coming Monday June 18th. Best of luck to you and please start posting here. We are trying to get our board moving again as it has slowed down this past year.
Love ya

When I worked at University Hospital, I met a few people who had the panniculectomy (removal of the huge panniculus) without any WLS or anything else. Funny thing is that Dr. Cleveland, who is now a WLS @ CMMC was a resident then and I recall him being in on those cases. I recognize Dr. Lineaweaver's name and he has a decent reputation in the field. It has been done--probably more than you realize. Good luck with your search!

I have spent all day working on my transfer to my appointment. i would just love it if Dr. Lineaweaver would just admit me to the hospital and do this removal now. I am hoping when he sees how extremely hard it is for me to come all the way to Jackson he will. It would be wonderful if a doctor did work with him on the WLS so I could get info. I doubt I will ever be able to get the WLS because of only having medicaid. I am hoping one day medicaid will wise up and see they would save money in the long run with offering this surgery. I am loving this site and you all are so very nice.
