Can anyone advise me on surgeons that accept Medicare?  I am new to the website and am researching all of my options.  I currently suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia and just know that weight loss surgery will help my quality of life.  I am so anxious to get things moving but I'm not sure just where to start.  I live in Hattiesburg and will be joining a support group on Monday with my dear friend, Denise who is very supportive to me.  Any advise or information would be so appreciated.  Thanks so much in advance! Hey my sweety.  I am so very glad you found your way over here.  This board does not move that quickly but their are a few of us trying to change that though.  You just stay strong.  Hold the faith this is going to happen for you!  I am excited that you are coming to the support group with me Monday night.  Hopefully we will be able to find you some info at that time.  You take care and I will holler at you today! Love ya Deedee

Carrie,    I am in Jackson.  If you don't have any luck down that way, I believe CMMC takes Medicare.   Good luck on your journey!  Let us know if we can help any other way!

HUGS!!

Dr King in Oxford takes Medicare. That is who I am using and Becky WIlson told me today that him and one other dr in his office is the only ones that Medicare will pay to use. There may be others but that is just what I was told today because I am using medicare/medicaid. Just thought I would share that with you.  Sonya  Mantachie MS

Thanks to everyone for all of your input.  I am going to attend Dr. Cleveland's seminar at CMMC tomorrow night at 5:30.  I have been told that they are anticipating about 8 weeks longer before being able to accept Medicare.  Not sure exactly what that means but was told it is good to go ahead and get the process started.  Hopefully I will find out all the information that I need and maybe even enough to help someone else out in the future.  You have all been wonderful to respond to my questions!!!  Thanks again!
