I watched it again last night... and I am still not happy or unhappy with the show. I know I will continue to watch it.   Some of the things they say just hit me wrong... LOL... could be me PMSing too. I do relate to the patients though.

What were the things that hit you wrong? Was it something in the operating room?

Hi April...  I dont like it that they fight in the operating room, but that wasnt it... LOL One of the doctors made a comment to the patient that you are going to be good or great or something like that, and I was like, he is pretty good now...   I dont remember what exactly was said, and it can be that I was just very PMS'y, but it just hit me wrong like they were telling him that he wasnt worth a crap now, but after surgery and when he looses all his weight he will be worth something. Darn I wish I saved the DVR of it and I would tell you exactly. I am going to continue to watch it, I am learing a bit more about the surgery. :-)

Susan, I can tell you that working in an OR, myself am a Surgical Tech. Have been for 7 years. It takes a special person to work in an OR.  The way they joked around and argued is exactly the way it is. They just didn't have the music going.  lol... I think they may argue more since it's father & son. But there is still some agruing when it comes to two staff surgereons who aren't related.   I still have it on my DVR, so I'll have to go back and check it out? Are you talking about the man who was bed ridden or the wife & husband? I too am going to continue to watch it. I like to see how other OR's work. and it's nice for it to be about WLS, since this is the road I'm heading down. Aren't you getting your surgery done in July? I think I remember reading that somewhere.. lol. If not when do you think it will be.  We may end up being surgery sister. What's even better is we live super close to each other.. It would be nice to have someone close going through the same thing,

I would never say anything bad about the OR staff or anything... they are much better than I am.. I dont think I could deal with the stress that job. It was the bedridden man he was talking to.

I am trying to have my surgery in July if at all possible... I just have to get BCBS on my side... but we are working on that.  (check out my profile) Talk to you soon, Susan

Susan, I didn't think you were saying anything bad.. I'm sorry if it came off that way...  I was saying that it takes a special person to put up the crap the surgeons hand out.. lol.. some can be pains in the butt.. We call them Pre-Madonna's... but most of the ones that are like that are awesome surgeons and are saving someones life, so I don't hold it against them.

I checked out your profile.. That is some crap with your insurance! I can't believe they are doing this to you..  I think they change the rules add some, take away some for every different person..  April*
