Gone back to school!
Sorry I've been in and out lately. Things have been SO crazy at my house. Scott and I both had job interviews in Georgia -- trying to move closer to my mom. We both got the jobs, but Scott didn't feel comfortable with the terms they were offering him, so we are staying here. *sigh* I'm not unhappy here at all. This is home for me, but my entire family is old and sick and I just have this sense of "needing to be there". Know what I mean? Anyway, since we are staying, I've started school. I'm taking a medical transcription course at home. It's always a challenge finding quiet time to study with three kids and thier friends here all the time. LOL But so far I have a 4.0 and am finding it rather easy to understand. It does however take up a lot of my time.
Wish me luck! I REALLY need this to work for me --- errr --- for the family!
I am sorry that your husband is not comfortable with the terms, but I am glad that you are staying!!!!!!! I am going to need all the help and support I can get when I do my surgery on the 11th! If you want something else to do as well - remember, I can set you up with Avon!
I will keep you and your family in my prayers and hope all will be better with your family in GA.
Looking forward to meeting you in person,

Hey Kim,
I am sorry to hear things did not work out. Although I know you friends here are glad your staying. I would hate to be very far from my Mom. My husband is the same way about his Dad.
Good luck with your classes. We are here for you if you need

Remember to love your cats unconditionally they are a gift from God.......as told to me by TeeJay and Pepper.
Medical transcription is not easy, but do-able. ;-) I'm taking my course through US Career Institute. There are many many courses out there, some better than others. The only reason why I chose this one is because I can afford it! LOL They let you pay by the month and still send your next set of materials. A lot of them require chunks of money before you get the next set of stuff. Anyway, you can check it out! It's hard to find someone to hire you straight out of school to work at home. Most require that you've had some "in office" experience of at least a year. My SIL took a course and is now working in an office, not doing transcription, but because she had the medical knowledge she's doing office manager work at a lasik eye surgery clinic. So there are other options that it opens up for you. I'm just taking the course and seeing where it leads me. I think the course is easier than the actual work. You have to deal with a lot of different dialects and not being able to hear things well on the recording etc... Kinda frustrating until you get real good at it. Lot's of dictionary look ups, etc... The courses are designed to teach you how to make educated guesses at what they are talking about when you can't understand or hear it. It's really interesting. There is also medical coding and billing. Another good one to get into. I'll let you know more when I do.! LOL
