I too have chills.  Mostly when I am at work.  I had lapband in 9/18/06 and have lost 60 pounds with about 35/40 to go. I don't really understand it.  I have always been a hot natured person.  It's crazy. Cindi M

I have always been very hot-natured...and even after losing 115 pounds, I am far from being chilled all the time or cold at all....but I do notice that I tolerate the heat much better than I used to.  I do get cool (like chill bumps) from time to time and we've cut our thermostat up this summer (I was always the one c/o being too hot)....so that's a nice change (and a welcome one!) I bet it's a hormonal/metabolism change.  Maybe we're becoming more efficient. :)

I am so glad you asked this... I was wondering if I was the only one who went from being hot all the time to now being cold!  My boss picks on me at work and tells me this is because I have lost my "insulation"!  I have definately noticed that I am always cold, especially my hands - they are usually like icicles! lol Marci

Thank goodness!  I thought something was wrong with me.  I am the same way - I'm cold all the time!  I used to sleep with the air conditioner on around 65; now it's on 75 and I still sleep under blankets.  The GOOD thing about it is I'm saving tons of money on my electric bill (and food, of course) which will eventually I guess either go to new clothes, or paying the heating bill next winter. So apparently this is normal?   Marcia

I had gastric bypass a year ago. I have noticed the same thing. I stay cold all the time, and I to use to be a very hot natured person. I have lost 95 pounds and have about 40 to go. I believe it is due to maybe low  iron. well that is what i have been told and i have read. My last blood test showed me with low iron and being cold is a sign of that. Well glad im not the only one who freezes all the time...lol.. oh but im not complaing since i use to stay hot all the time.. it is a nice change... well hope all is doing well sorry i have not been on line alot lately.... take care.... love tonya

Hey Angel, I know you poated this a while ago, BUT, YOU NEED TO GET YOUR IRON CHECKED!  I am 3 yrs out and have had 2 iron drips in the last 15 months.  When I start getting cold and everyone is sweating half to death I know what is happening.  Please have your Dr check your ferritan levels and make sure you are not too low!  All the iron tablets in the world won't help!  You do not absorb enough Iron to help you. I hope this helps and be sure and talk to your GP or Surgeon asap. Good Luck, Angie 342/167 in 3 yrs -175
