Hi Everyone, this is my first post and I got a letter yesterday saying the insurance approved the surgery! YEAH. :-D The PCP faxed yesterday my letter of consent and all tests that were run to CMMC, Dr. Hawks said she was faxing everything that she needed to fax this past Monday! Now all I need is to wait for CMMC to call back so I can visit the doctor and do the Pre op stuff. I am nervous and excited all at the same time...........! Tracey

I plan to be at the support meeting on the 8th as long as Ethan's (My 6 yr old) surgery goes well and I can leave him that night. I want to meet everyone as I know that support is one of the biggest keys to success! Hopefully won't be too long before I hear from CMMC!!!!! YEAH!!!! Focusing on the Positive, Tracey

congrats Tracey!! It wasn't but 6 weeks ago I got my approval letter after over a year fighting it. I know how excited you are. It's excitement and nervousness all mixed in one. I'm thrilled for you! CMMC called me and I was having surgery in a week so it will fly by now. Keep us posted, I love seeing how well others are doing and I'm sure you will do great too!

Congratulations, Tracey, and welcome to the board! We've all been where you are...the excitement AND nervousness. I think I even stayed nervous for a few months after surgery, questioning everything. Is this "normal"? Should I feel this way? This board is a great place to come though because there are folks at all stages, and everyone is always so helpful. Keep us posted on your progress. Pam

Well !! it truly is a small world. I work with your husband. Are you having RNY? If so I want to be your angel !! I had surgery at CMMC on July 18, 2006 and have lost 106 lbs so far. Also, I am sorry I didn't get to meet you at the CMDSS Zoo Day last Saturday !! As I said it is a small world. I'll give Marc my cell phone number. Cheryl
