OK people, I am having a real hard time with the protien powders. YUCK! I even bought the unjury everyone else seems to like. It didn't taste anything like choc milk to me. Any suggestions?

It is just trial and error - I mix just the Wal-Mart cheap ($11.95) Whey protein with VERY cold skim milk, vanilla, chocolate or strawberry. Or try the "Magic Bullet", I think they have those at Wal-Mart now, and mix with ice and skim milk, or some other smoothie combination - with vanilla protein, coffee and milk....or banana, protein ice and milk. What is the "Magic Bullet"? (not gonna mention that is also the name of a sex toy) LOL I don't want to ask some poor stock boy at walmart for the "magic bullet"

LMAO I'm SO glad my mind is not the only one in the gutter! Try profect... the test tube things I was talking about. Not great tasting, but a chug or two and it's gone... and you've gotten 25 grams of protein. There is usally a flashing add in the bottom left of this screen, if not, do a google. I believe you can still order the 4 pack trial. HTH HUGS Kimberly

ha ha ha ha ha - I actually do not own one, so do not know about the price, but I like the idea because it makes a smoothie in a cup, it is like a cup with a silver rounded top that is the blender, and you just drink your smoothie in the same cup you made it in - it is to be my next purchase (don't need the sex toy though.....hummmm).....Blenders do not usually blend ice well enough for me. I happen to have an old OLD style blender, and when I say old, I got it from my grandmother's house and this one is probably older than me, but boy will it blend a smoothie---- BTW - Here is my favorite smoothie recipe that I do in the blender - I just put in some of my favorites - I have this almost every single morning. MANGO SMOOTHIE 1 cup of milk 1/2 to 2/3 cup of frozen mango (found this in frozen fruit at Walmart). 1/4 to 1/2 cup frozen pineapple. 1 1/2 scoops of vanilla protein powder couple of teaspoons of sweet-n-lo splash or two of pineapple juice

I just really couldn't stand the protein powders either. I had to find some creative ways to get my protein in. One thing I did was to buy the carnation powdered milk and add that to my regular milk along with some sf chocolate syryp. That tasted good. I also bought the fruit punch flavored Isopure and used it to mix up the fruit punch flavored sf coolaid. I would also mix up sf chocolate or vanilla pudding and add the carnation powdered milk to that too to give it some protein. Good luck Melissa

Guess I'm lucky, I actually like "most" of the Whey protein powders. Don't care that much for the ones with soy. But only with cold skim milk.....I got some of samples once of the flavored powders, not sure who made them...There was one that was tea flavored, that was my favorite....when I remember who made them, I'll post it.... Here are my two favorite protein drink recipes. Fruit Protein Shake 1 cup Skim Milk 1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder 1 tube sugar free lemonade ¾ cup frozen fruit (My favorite is strawerries, but it is good with peach and mango or any combination of the three) Add milk, protein powder and lemonade to blender. Hit STIR to combine. Add frozen fruit, hit PUREE until correct consistency. If the mixture binds up, add a splash of milk. the lemonade really makes a difference. I started doing this becaues I really missed my Lemon Berry slushes from Sonic. Chocolate Mocha Protein Shake 1 cup skim milk 1 scoop Chocolate Protein Power 2 T Cocoa Powder 1 T Splenda Splash of Vanilla Extract 5-6 Coffee Ice Cubes Add milk, protein powder, cocoa, splenda and vanilla to blender. Hit STIR to combine. Add Coffee ice cube**** PUREE until correct consistency. In the words or Rachel Ray YUM-O!
