Where IS everyONE????? Sheesh!!

It is soooooooo quiet on here. Where is everyone??? Arlis, Wanda, Melissa, Meghan... Dawn... Sheesh - everyone???? I know where DeeDee and CoffeeGod are - they were banned and are hanging out at Tek's site... but where is everyone else???? Lets get this board ACTIVE!!!!!! Connie

Some of us try, but it's just not chatty anymore. What's the deal with people getting banned?

There was a big blowup between Tek and the moderators bck in Aug/Sept of last year (around there). Tek started his own site. If you became a member of Tek's site, all of a sudden you could no longer sign into OH. When several ppl asked them, they said that we violated the TOS... The mods could never point it out where though. The majority of the ppl never got ANY notification of WHY they were banned. They did this to a BUNCH of us in January (I was one of them... boom, I just could not sign in, no notification or anything)... Then there was another one a month or so ago... Mod say it was a computer "glitch." Some ppl were allowed back on, but most were NOT. Whenever we would adress something on Tek's site... they would do something here about it.... so the are following his site as well. It really is a mess, and stupid. They haven't done it in awhile because there was a big emailing campaign to Eric Kline... don't think it did much good, but seems to have put the mods in check a little... It is mainly on the main board, and they don't check these boards very often... If you google tek WLS or quixotic WLS you will find his page... (I am not aloud to give the address or I will be banned again... or at least moderated). Connie

That's interesting. Hmmm I know the site, and am a member. I have some friends who hang out there and they told me about it. But nothing negative. I haven't posted on there, only read. I'm still trying to learn how to work the message boards. LOL I'm an idiot and don't handle change very well. It's a shame so many of our friends have been banned. Must have been something big. But surely people weren't banned "just for joining a site"? That would be a violation of freedom of speech etc... wouldn't it? I mean, who can tell me what site to join and what site not to join? That makes no sense. There has to be more to the story.... please tell me there is more to the story. I'm so dissapointed. I also don't understand the myspace thing yet. I have one, but it has nothing on it. Funny, I run a big non profit web oriented group, but have no clue how to use myspace. My blonde is shining today! LOL Thanks for the info though! HUGS K

I am not very good at doing anything on myspace either. My son beautified mine. LOL. Sad, sad I know. And I am not even blonde anymore. I went back natural. Hasn't helped me in the common sense department yet. LOL. Melissa

Really - unfortunatley, there is NOT more to the story... I was dropped for NO reason. I had not even posted for the week before I was banned. When I was asked about it, they were pretty rude and didn't give me any reason... There were a bunch of other pl who were banned, on a friday night after midnight... No reason given, no explanation... It happened again about a month ago... lei, jo, tink... I mean lots of ppl you would have never thought would be banned... just gone...

I wondered where Tink and Joann from Boston were. They all always went to the conventions and stuff and helped promote everything. Boy, they cut their nose off to spite their face when they ban members like that. Melissa

Just want everyone to know that she is FOR SURE talking about another Deedee cause I am here and kicking and have NEVER been banned from any site!!!!! Just dont post that much anymore unless it is on the pg after surgery board. Denise (Deedee)

Hey, girl. There was another Dee Dee. She had surgery several years ago and then had a revision surgery more recently. She mainly posted on the main board and was one of the original oldies on the site. She helped found Tek's site and got banned from here which is absolutely ridiculous. There are lots of obesity sites one can join and go to. You just have to make yours the best and have things that attract members. It is just not good business to go around banning people because they joined a really competitive site of yours. You know what I mean? The whole thing was ridiculous. Tek was an oldie member on here and used to post some really thought provoking posts. I used to love reading what he had to say about things. And sometimes the discussions got heated and taken too far so they banned him. And he started his own site and lots of members here followed him and joined his site and got punished here for doing so. Whatever! Reminds me of high school drama. LOL So, how are you feeling mommy to be? We need to meet for lunch and chat one day soon. Melissa

Hey girl, I am with you on that stupid drama. Shame that as grown ups some still result to that. lol lol I am doing really good. We had another ultrasound last week and the baby now has a heartbeat of 159 and we got a wonderful picture where you can see arms and facial features. it was really precious. We really do need to meet for lunch one day. I am right in the middle of changing positions here at work and boy it has been a heatic time for me. Doing two jobs is for the birds. lol lol Sorry I missed the last meeting. Girl I was sooo sick that day I even missed the whole day of work. I think I had a touch of a stomach virus but luckily it passed pretty quickly. Other than that I have been great. No morning sickness at all but evening sickness has gotten me BAD.
