I got it Closed!!

Well, We finally closed on our new home. I should say older "new" home. We have bought a 160 year old home. Now the work begins. We probably won't move for a month or so since we are redoing the house. I am so excited. I have always wanted an older home and this one has Civil War history. It is called "Moss Rose". So cool! I know you are elated! I love those older homes. You will have your own special touch to it and yet leave the historical beauty to come thru. Sounds like fun! How's the lap band doing?

You should see the yard it is full of blooming azealas (sp??). Fireplace in every all 4 bedrooms and old painted wood floors. Lap Band is going really good. I have lost 53 pounds total. I had a plateau that lasted 2 months but have finally started losing again. Now that spring is here and the days are longer I seem to be moving aroung more instead of sitiing in my recliner and watching TV. That helps a lot! Cindi M

Cindi, I'm SO jealous! I've always wanted to buy an old historical house. I think that is SO cool! Have fun with it! Congrats on the WL! Those plateaus stink! We looked at a large old home here again that we almost bought 6 years ago but bought the home we now live in instead. The house didn't sell and was donated to an agency here. The house was slightly remodeled. We looked at it and have been called 3 times by the realto and agency to please buy the house. The house has 3 bedrooms, LR, DR, Kitchen needs to be placed elswhere, 3 bath room, 2 story, 1 2 bedroom garage apt and 1 1 bed room garage apt. In town....appraises for $226,000.00. They will sell for $85,000.00. No that is not a typo. We have 7 children and no time to work on the house....now if someone wants to had us the money to pay cash....then maybe we can make this work! Cheryl. With 7 kids I don't know how you have time to sleep!! Our kids are grown so we have more time for this kind of project. Thant sound like a deal on that house. We could not have bought ours it it wasn't for the great deal we got on it. It is 4 bd 2 bth 2655 sq ft. Almost twice the size of our present home. I am having fun with all the decorating. Cindi M
