Hello everyone! I just want to share a milestone with you all. Last week was spring break for my 8 year old son so I took the week off work and we bonded! Just he and I went to Flint Creek Camping in tents for 2 nights. I found myself comparing different things from before WLS to now (-99lbs) It's amazing! GOD IS SO GOOD TO ME! First, I put up our tent and unloaded all of our junk (food, ice chest, etc.) without any problems or fussing at all. We went swimming, fishing and bike riding every day. It really hit me when I found myself jumping up to do whatever he wanted to do without any reservations. For example, he said, "mom, lets go swimming" and I said ok, go get your trunks on! Before WLS, I would have said, son, that's too far to walk and the water is just to cold. My excuse to him for myself being over weight! He caught a fish and said to me, "mom, what can I put this fish in" before WLS, I would have said, son, just let it go because we don't have anything to put it in, but last week I said, hold on, let me empty out one of the ice chest and get you some water in it and you can put it in there and that's what I did without even thinking of it as a chore. My point, well I now realize that not only was I a hostage of obesity.......So was my little boy. It breaks my heart to think that 8 years of his life has gone by and I missed most of the good stuff! However, It makes me smile and extremely happy to think about the next 8 years with him enjoying life together. We are finally set free from obesity!!! Thanks for letting me share!

That's great, Lorrie!! You look wonderful, and I'm glad you're feeling so good, too. I'm in Seattle now with my daughter and grandkids. It's so much easier now to get on the floor and play with the kids. Plus we've been on the go every day and I've had the energy to keep up. Yesterday we shopped all afternoon, had dinner with friends, and were in Target at 9:30 last night. Before WLS, I don't think I could've held up. The funny thing is I asked my twin grandsons, who are six, if I looked any different than I did the last time I was here. They said no, I just look like Grammy. I'm proud of you, Lorrie. Pam
