UPDATE ON ME

Hi guys, well I am now 6 days post op. All in all everything has gone VERY smoothly. I have had my pain managed totally so that is a huge plus. My face is swollen up like a basketball, (I look like a white Mike Tyson) but the doc said the swelling has to go somewhere and since I am bound up from chest to knees, it was a likely spot. But it is going down daily. The chemical peel has begun, horrible red splotchy peeling skin all over my face, its yucky. I have had very little pain from the thigh incisions and the belt incision. I am surprised at that. I also have had very little drainage in the tubes. My regular follow up appt is Thursday but he told me to come in today to get the drains out since they are essentially not draining at all now. About 10 cc in 24 hours. Most I ever had was 30cc in 24 hrs. The doctor told me he was very surprised when he cut me open, given my age (50) and the loss of 142 lbs, my tissues are very fibrous, which he said is a good thing, he said I have the insides of a 20 yrs old, go figure. My boobs have begun to stop being painful, they are still hard and sitting up high and sorta under my armpit, but he said that takes a few weeks for them to settle in. Just to keep massaging them. He put in 500cc silicon implants in each side. I almost had a stroke when he told, me because I did not want to be Dollie Parton. But he told me that I wasn't because my breast pockets were 16cm wide and that is what it took to get me a full D. They actually look like a full C to me but time will tell. The worst thing for me is sitting on my butt and having others wait on me, that is killing me. Had sort of a melt down last night and cried for a bit, but I know this too shall pass. My boyfriend is coming to get me today to take me to the doc to have drains removed and I am going back to his house to stay this week and hopefully I will be better able to maneuver around next week. The crotchless girdle is weird, but it's nice to just plop down to pee when necessary. So all in all I am doing great. I just have to force myself not to do much so as to not break any stitches. I won't be able to post again until this Sunday when I get back home, so thanks for all your well wishes and I will take post op pics then to show yall. Luv yall, Sue
