I Got My Surgery Date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been a while for me. I finally got approved, and I am set for surgery on April 9, 2006. So if anyone has some advice i am all ears.

Congratulations on your surgery date!!! We will be saying lots of prayers for you!!! Make sure you take you a nice soft pillow to the hospital wear loose fitting pjs and shoes that slip on. I have a pair of thos indoor outdoor house shoes that I wore. LOL ditch the bra wear a real loose dark tee .

Anita, I agree...don't worry about fancy night gowns and stuff. I wore the hospital gown and some nice house shoes until I left the hospital then I left in some warm ups. Be sure and take deodorant because I did have a funk after a few days, take your biggest, fluffiest pillow you have especially for support home because neither Hwy. 80 nor I-20 are bump free!!! Basically the essentials will do ya, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, period! Who is doing your surgery and where? Dr. Cleveland did mine on March 12th but this was my second WLS in 10 years so I was familiar with what to expect. You will do just fine just remember the sooner you get off the pain meds the better off you will be! Best of luck! Beth

Dr. Cleveland is doing my surgery on April 9th. You had 2 WLS? how much did you lose at first was it rapid or slow. I just don't know what to expect. Thanks for the help. keep in touch.
