10 YEARS POST OP and now 3 WKS. PRE-OP

ALL: 10 years POST OP and now 3 weeks PRE-OP...not many people can say that!! Over 10 years ago in September, 1996 I underwent surgery in Houston, Texas with Dr. Marcel Molina to have a "Molina" stomach band. During the next year I lost 200# HOWEVER over the next 10 years I unfortunately gained 52#. On Monday, March 12th, 2007, Dr. Kenneth Cleveland at CMMC in Jackson, MS will remove the gastric band and perform a RNY and also correct an insicional hernia from my "TT". WHo knows what else he may find once he gets in there!! LOL! Keep me in your thoughts and prayers!! I can't believe I am doing this again. Love, Beth aka QueenB~n~MS

hey there...I, too, underwent surgery with Dr. Molina for the nonadjustable band. Unfortunately i wasn't able to go for a straight revision. after losing 160 pounds, i had to have my band taken off and regained all my weight before finding someone who would revise me to a RNY. I've since lost 115 pounds!! good luck on your journey. keep in touch!

Oh Mary it is great to hear someone else has gone through this. Did Dr. Cleveland do this surgery? I had the surgery in September 1996 but I am so sick now that a revision is what my ENT suggested and Dr. Cleveland and my insurance both agree, this could save my life.
