Anyone use Dr Carroll?

Did anyone use Dr Carroll in Jackson? I went for my first visit in September '06. They never did get an insurance claim filed for me before year end. In January, I got a new insurance co, and faxed over copies of my card to Dr Carroll's office almost three weeks ago. The insurance co (the new one) still doesn't show anything being filed. Should I just give on Dr Carroll's office and go elsewhere, or is this standard procedure at all Dr's offices?

I know it's a nightmare at most places, but that does seem a little extreme. Have you talked to the office to find out what the hold up is? It seems like it took 3-4 weeks before anything showed up at my insurance company, so perhaps this second try will produce some results within the next week or so. Keep us posted! .... and NEVER give up. Stay on them, the sqeaky wheel gets the oil.... or whatever that saying is! HUGS Kimberly

every doctor's office is different in how they handle insurance. i work for an orthopedic surgeon--and we have a dept. that handles filing of insurance--but we also put a lot of responsibility on the patients re: precert/coverage/benefit information. just call. you have nothing to lose except time. haha. and that all depends on how long youre on hold. i used dr. carroll. i like their office staff, too...but every office can mis-place or mis-file or flat out fall behind on duties. give 'em a call! mary

I called the insurance company, and the did finally show getting something from the Dr's office, but it was SO INCOMPLETE that they couldn't even contact the Dr's office for the additional information. The insurance co sent me a letter in the mail, which I had to fax to the Dr's office...
