i have a question
I saved this back before I had surgery, and will probably have to use it one day in the future. Good luck!
Plateau Buster Diet
#1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau

#3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day (some suggest at least 60 and up to 80 gr)
#4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day
beef
pork
chicken
turkey
lamb

plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?)
peanut butter
beans/legumes
You may also have:
sugar free popsicles
tea or coffee
sugar free soda
sugar free jello

crystal light drinks
#5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!!
#6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise per day.

There are those of us that lose like mad then plateau. Lose again then plateau. I do it. It's the way I lose the fat. Glycogen is depleted and your body has to replace those stores in case a saber toothed tiger comes after you. You would need the glycogen to initiate the flight or fight response that would allow you to get away from/fight the tiger.
The fact is, when you do stall, your body is still losing inches. You are also more physically active these days and building muscle. Stay the course. You will lose again. Don't stress over it.
Being 3 1/2 years out, I have to say, what Meghan says is absolutely true. I did not even weigh very often during my first year because of the very thing - lose - stall - lose - stall - lose inches, etc.
My (very unofficial) advice to anyone 2-3-4 months out would be to just really concentrate on learning "the rules" to healthy eating during this first year, and make them part of your lifestyle. It certainly will not hurt you to go on the plateau buster diet, if you so desire, just keep in mind that healthy living has got to be part of your new lifestyle.
Sounds like you are just doing wonderfully with the exercise !!! I am very proud of you!
You are going to have plateau's.....they serve a purpose....don't fight them, just keep on eating and exercising the way you should and you will lose. Get a pair of pants that fit snuggly now and try them on every so often....even if you don't lose pounds, you willl be losing inches...that will keep you motivated and from being so discouraged.
As for the 'plateau busting' diet.......lapbanders are not to drink carbonated drinks of any kind ever again!!!....so scratch that from the list, please!!!
