What WOW moments have you had lately? I guess mine came the other night when I was walking one of my little dogs and following my husband who was walking very fast with the other dog. I decided to try to run and let my little dog have a bit more freedom on the leash, so I started running and amazingly no pain and I wasnt even short winded (I never have been THAT able before!!!!) My little dog kept looking back to see if I was there behind him, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smiles, Cheryl

Good for you!!!!! Mine was walking around the park and not being in as much misery as I was before. I could breathe, my knees weren't aching as much. All the perks were starting to show from this surgery. Not a day goes by, that I'm not thankful. Brandi :~)

These may sound cheezy but maybe ya'll can relate. In no certain order: 1)I went to the park with my girls & actually slid down all the slides (4 in all) over & over again. Normally I wouldn't attempt it cuz I'd wonder if my butt was too big or I'd break something 2) I do notice I'm not as winded doing things 3) I can sleep now on one pillow instead of having to prop up cuz of not being able to breath 4) While doing an aerobics video this morning I put my hands on my hips & for 1 split sec I was thinking "whoa! are these mine?" seemed slimmer than i remember lol. 5) I'm seeing bones I haven't seen in a while cuz they were hiding (around neck & chest) My ribcage is starting to show thru 6) My 8 yr old calls me skinny although I'm still a ways from goal 7) I went to JC Penney's to buy more jeans & instead of buying a 14 (my real size now) I tried on size 12! They are snug but I bought 2 pairs of 12s. I can get by wearing them & will be SO excited when they fit the way they should. Maybe I won't gross no one out LOL! 8) My dr's first goal for me was 126- I'm 40 #s from that. He set a new goal for me when I went last- 140 - 26#s away from that one. I guess he changed it because I'm losing slow? I meant to ask him but forgot. If I think of more I'll surely come back to tell!

Melissa, You are doing so good! Doesn't it feel great to feel those hips!!! Keep shooting for the first goal and keep in mind that once you reach goal number two that you have been 100% successful!!! Congrat!!!! Sonya

A man at work that I haven't seen in a while came in and was just floored with the way I look ! I just got a hair cut...REALLY SHORT !!! He got so tickled about my short hair, rubbed me on the head and told me I was very sexy looking . He didn't realize I have lost 93 lbs.. He was so funny. No I didn't tell him about the weight loss. He was sooooo cute and funny. Cheryl

I hope this counts... Before surgery I had a t-shirt that was snug. For the 1st time since surgery I put the shirt on this last week. Now, it looks like a short gown on me. It droops far enough down to cover my tail really good. I'm so happy about that! Hugs, Tammy

Well, being three years out the WOW moments don't come as often. Life is just kind of normal now. But I did have one this week. We have been going to a Mardi Gras ball with my parents for the last two years now. Me, my mom and sister went shopping for our dresses last weekend which is always fun. This week I was getting out my dresses from the last two years so I could sell them on Ebay and was looking at the pictures from the last two balls and realized I could still wear all the dresses and am the same size in the pictures. And my dress for this year is the same size as the last two years. WOW! That just still amazes me because before WLS the sizes got bigger every year and I never could wear the same clothes year after year after year. But three years running now I can wear all of my ball dresses. It really hit home that I have lost the weight and am maintaining well which is something I have never been good at in the past. Melissa

Hey Cheryl, Honestly it seems as if every day has its WOW moments for me that that is awesome. But the big one that did the most for me happened like 2 weeks ago. I had went out dancing with some friends and across the room at the other side of the club there was this guy and I tapped my friend and said that is one sexxy guy. Well he looked up at me and waved and then he came over and hugged and hugged me and like kissed me 4 times on the 4head and said that I was looking "freaking awesome" and that he was "so impressed". (this was a guy that i had went to school with) then he said and don't think that other people are not noticing because I was over at Philllips (another guy from school) and there was a bunch of people over there and the topic of converstation was "have yall seen Joyce lately she is looking good" And that just made me feel really good becasue I do not always notice it on my self when i look in the mirror. I will be 12 months out on the 27 of Feb and I have lost a total of 263 pounds. I FEEL GREAT ! ! ! ! Joyce
