Almost 3 weeks out...

Well, I have to say. That getting past week one was the hardest and best thing ever. I'm doing wonderful now. I've lost about 33 pounds and feeling really good. Yesterday was the first really bad day, since I got over the hump of the surgery. I threw up for the first time, cause I was defiant and tried to eat an egg a couple days before I was supposed to. I didn't realize that I couldn't eat a WHOLE egg, lol. So it came back up. Learned that lesson. After that, the day went downhill. I was tired feeling, then at around 5:00 pm, I got a really bad headache and started feeling really woozy. But I ate something about an hour later and started to feel better. Not sure what all that was about. Anyway, just wanted to check in. Brandi :~)

You are just going to have "bad" days sometimes, that would be your body telling you to slow down and heal. Sounds like you are doing super though! No one can describe to you how your first few weeks will be until you live them - ha !!! Keep us posted on how you are doing - been praying for ya. DeAnna

You will have bad days and good ones and times when something looks so good but you will definately regret that you ate it later! Go to bed when you are feeling bad, seems like the tummy calms down sooner for me when I go thru those bad times. You will not be able to eat a whole anything for a long long time! LOL!!! My big enlightenment was when I went to Sonic and realized that I could not eat ANYTHING on their menu! (except a glass of water) and when I tried to eat a hamburger and got really really sick! LOL!!!! Being sick is a good teacher! Glad to hear about your weight loss, you are gonna be shocked at yourself in 6 months! Be ready to buy some new drawers cause your old ones will be falling off! No Lie!!!! Smiles, Cheryl

Brandi - good luck with your weight loss! I'm sure it will get better as you adapt to your new lifestyle. Speaking of that - it sounds like you can't eat much of anything after surgery. I would think this alone would make you sick! What's up with that? I've read the entire lapband website and it said that after surgery, you're on a liquid diet.
