I went to the siminar in oxford last november. Dr King and Dr Byars were very impressive to me the way they care for you. My friend had lapband done by Dr. Bayers last july and has lost a lot of weight. He fully recommands the clinic . I have completed my ins required 6 mo diet, nutional study and phy evam. B Wilson hopes to have all my report ready for the ins by Jan 24,2007. Then i play the wainting game for a answer from them , hopefully within 4-6 weeks. What type of wls surgey do you want done?

Dr. King did my surgery July 2005. I researched him for over a year prior. He is the best surgeon around with the most experience and least complications of any other doctor in MS. I have lost 142 lbs, had no problems and only thrown up one time and that was due to something I did wrong in my eating. If you follow his directions you will be fine also. His staff as well as Baptist Memorial are superb. I drive 3 hours from Byram to use him and I would ONLY use him as my surgeon for any type of surgery I might require in the future. Sue

Hi!! Dr King did my LapBand on 9/18/06 and I have lost 50 pounds. I love him because his is strict and he is more concerned with your health than with a goal weight. I would do it again tomorrow. The Baptist Hospital is also the best. And Becky Wilson will be your lifeline until surgery approval and become a friend after. I wish you the best. Keep us informed. Cindi M
