HELP LOOKING FOR SURGEON

Hi Everyone, I am looking for a surgeon in south Mississippi that does the Gastric Sleeve surgery. Also I would like to hear from anyone that has had the same surgery. I really appreciate any information that any of you nice folks could give me. I am researching on the procedcure so I can make a decision . Thanks, Sheila

Sorry that no one has responded sooner than now. Everyone must be pretty busy lately. I know I have so im speaking for myself. I am a 30 year old mother of two, full time student, and work full time. I hadmy surgery in March of 2006 and it was the BEST thing I have ever done in my life, well next to being married and given birth to my two glorious children. I had Laproscopic RYN (gastric bypass) it was the best thing ever. I used who i think is the BEST AND MOST AWWESOMEEST doctor in te world, Dr. Rex Sherer out of Alabaster, Alabama. He is a true christian man of god and that is what brought me to him. i have NEVER liked to go to the dr in my whole life and this man truely took that fear out of me. Any doctor that will PRAY with you from the frist time he meets you till the time you go home is a true blessing to me. i was in the prep room waiting to go back into the OR and he came in there to say a prayer with me. That is waht you call an awesome doctor. I truely give that man thanks and love him for what he has done for me. I have nothing terrible or bad to say abut the surgery. I was back at school within three weeks, ad thats only bc we were out for spring break. I was walking right at a little over 2 miles not even a week out of surgery. I had surgery on Wednesday and that following Tuesday I was walking the two miles. I would say go for it..but only if you know that you can live with the committement of the lifestyle change.
