Update on my Dad

Hey Guys, I am so sorry that I really suck at updating. I know that I say that I am going to call people and then don't. My life has really just been spinning out of control here lately so I am sorry. Well today is the 8th day that my Dad has been on the ventilator (sp) they were putting him through some trials to get him off but he didn't do so well on them and then they had to turn the vent back on all the way. He seems to know who we are when we go in there but he does not respond much at all. They have spoken to us about putting a trac or something like that in because he can't just continue to stay on the vent but we just don't know about that. He started running a fever today and we don't know why. And his blood pressure and heart rate are really high. I wish that this update was a good update but I guess as you can see it is not all that good. Thank you all for praying for him. Please continue to pray for him as well as me and mom. Joyce, Thanks sooooo much for the update. Listen I know tha tyou ahve sooo much on your plate right now. Just know that we are all here for you if yall need ANYTHING. If you need ANYTHING just call me and let me know you know the number and you know how to reach me. I am off tomorrow so would love if we can maybe have lunch or just sit and talk if you want to. KNow that your father along with you and your mom are in my prayers along with everyone elses prayers. Hey Baby Girl, I have been thinking about you continually, and HOPING since I'd not heard anything, that all was going good. I will continue to pray for you and I apologize for not calling and checking on you. The only excuse I have is not a very good one....the arthritic water aerobics, Aqua Fit, and Silver Sneakers classes at the Y have been kicking my butt, but GOOD. and I am prolly the youngest in the classes by a good 20 years!!! Also Jerry (Murphy) should be back at work by now. PLEASE if you need something, let him know. And he will let me know if you need something. Joyce a trac is a device placed in the neck to promote breathing. A person can live a productive life with one. You dad may be running a fever because when you have the intubation for so long some people aquire what they call tube pnemonia. The sooner they can wean him from the tube the better for him. Not trying to scare you, if you are like me the more you know the less scary. Make them talk to you guys and explain what these procedures are!
