Mexico for surgery?

I've seen on other sites where a lot of people have gone to Mexico for their WLS as their insurance won't pay. I'm beginning to have doubts I'm going to be able to get this approved for my insurance to pay, and I'm looking at my options. Have any of you locals had your surgery in Mexico? Who was your surgeon? How did it go? Would you do it again? How much does lapband surgery cost if done locally?
