Lurker and Active Members' Roll Call
Hello from Jane Hudnall, Poplarville, MS. I lurk several times a day but I have dial up so it takes days to make one post. I do need extra thoughts right now. I am gaining wt and not happy. Just a sweetaholic these days.
I want to try to make the Dec 16th get together in Jackson.

Hey, I'm glenda clemmons,one half of glenda and walter. I lurk often. Walter and I have been considering WLS. Our insurance company is requiring a 3 month doctor supervised weight loss/nutrition class. They are requiring us to do a 1200 calorie diet. We started it on Sept 7th. Our last class is Dec. 7th. Walter starting cutting out sweets in Feb when started our journey into WLS world. He lost 40 pounds before we started the class. He has now to date lost 100 pounds. I have lost 43 since we started the class. It is a very good program. We are doing it through the Obesity Clinic at JMM. It is called the LEARN program. The focus is learning to eat right and to make healthy choices. There is not a weight goal set for you. You decide for yourself what weight is right for you. After a lot of soul searching we have decided NOT to have the WLS. We are going to try this since we have done so good. We know we still have the option if this does not work out for us. We will see for sure after the class is finished. We are looking for a support group to attend. We tried OA. We are not binge eaters. We just love to eat. Our problem is portion control and fast food. Which we are working on. We are going to try a TOPS meeting. There are only 3 people in our class now and it feels one on one. We are very aware we need support. I will still lurk around and post some still. Enough about us. Thank you all for the support and I hope you all understand our decision.

Hi !, I am Cheryl Grogan from Vicksburg, MS. I had RNY on 7/18/06 and have lost 74 lbs so far... 67 lbs to go, per doctor's goal weight. 6 lbs to onederland.!!!!
I lurk NUMEROUS times a day.
I try to walk daily with a wonderful walking buddy, try to do 3 to 5 miles a day. We were really bad last week. Plan to get back on track this week. Cherry get your walking shoes on !
Nothing on Thanksgiving day agreed with my pouch !
