Im just asking a question, don't mean that i plan on doing this, so dont get all "flamie" on me! lol What would be the difference in a post-op going on a ALL VEGGIE diet for a few days , as opposed to a non-op going on one? Would it be any worse on us , than a "normal" person to do without protein for a few days........ ok a week? Ok i hear you thinking, "Why would i want to do that?" well i dont want to but my trainer has asked me to do it to try to break threw a long plateau, she claims it would jump start my wt loss if i do that and increase my cardio. Only for a week then back to my high protein diet, what ya'll think? DAWN~~

I don't know about doing without protein... What about the 10 day plateau buster diet? (I have seen it listed on the "WLS grads" board) I can post a copy of it if you want. Maybe print off a copy of that and show it to your trainer. What if you did the veggies with enough protein shakes to give you the correct amount of protein? Just thinking out loud, cause I have no idea. I also do not think that doing all veggies for a few days to a week could hurt, don't know though... Deanna

I've done the WLS plateau buster diet, and i didn't get much results. I think shes just wanting to shock my body and see what happens! haha I take in alot of protein everyday and she knows that , i think shes betting that if i get off of it for a few days that i might shock it back in to wt loss mode! I dunno! uggg !

I wasn't to interested in doing the plateau buster diet - Bet you got enough stored up to do without protein for that period of time, especially with the help of a trainer who thinks this will work. Veggies will still give you lots of energy. (my humble opinion only - ha) Deanna

Try not eating anything after 6 p.M. The weight starting pouring off of me when started doing that. Some people say that eating at night has nothing to do with you not losing weight, but I proved them wrong!! My all time high of weight was 342 pounds pre op and now I am down to 210 pounds, and almost at my 1 year anniversary, so all together ive lost 132 pounds. I can't credit all of it to WLS, cause I had lost around 10-12 pounds before, but 90% I can credit to it. ( yay for me!) my doc says he wants me to stop at 170 due to height and bone structure. I won't be happy until I see 150 or at the least 160. Good luck crystal
