Do any of ya'll stay satisfied if you drink alot of protein shakes or slim fast. I am going back to just protein and see if it will jump start me back up. I don't think I am getting enough in. Any comments will be greatly appreciated. Nan Manning

If i make the protein shake myself and put it in the blender i add a little more than a scoop of powder to my shake, it will hold me for a few hours! I drink it slow, it seems to help! I dont think a can of slim fast would hold me 5 minutes though! haha

I go to GNC and get the ON 100% any whey i buy the vanilla ice cream the plain chocolate and the mint choco chip! i love them all! If i use the mint i just use my mil**** and powder thats it! The chocolate i either do plain or i freeze left over coffee in ice cube trays and put that in and its like a frozen coffee drink! The vanilla i go wild with, i put frozen banana, strawberries, or peaches depending on what flavor i want! OR try to add about a tbs of sugar free jello or pudding(powder!) to the shake and your flavors are end less, and it makes it real thick and creamy but dont use too much a tbs is enough!!!!! Ok im gone to make me a vanilla shake with pistachio pudding in it YUM!!! DAWN~~

Thanks Dawn, I never dreamed of using instant pudding. I am going to try that and the coffee cubes also. I have gotton hooked on vanilla lattes with skim milk of course, but I do buy the starbucks expresso coffee at walmart. Thanks Again, Nan PS You look wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A while back I posted about a ton of recipes for shakes and stuff. I copied them from the food board on Obesity Help. Tons of ideas there.......

Each morning I put in a blender: 1 cup skim milk 3 (yes three) heaping scoops of Wild Strawberry Protein powder from Vitamin World 1 small banana splash of vanilla extract Give it a spin and pour it into a LARGE glass and drink it on the way to work and fini**** at work. First of all I am never hungry. But this keeps me from wanting to just graze ( out of habit ). For lunch I will typically have a pouch of salmon or a small Wendy's chili (or homemade chile that is almost identical to Wendy's) For supper I have another shake (not as big, no banana) or some cheese or yogurt. LOTS of water inbetween. And I desparately try to walk 3 miles a day. Tuesday I walked 5 miles. Cheryl

Cheryl, I am so proud of you! 5 miles whoo hoo... Exercise is certainly the key, I believe. Your shake sounds yummy too....Are you coming Saturday? or to the meeting on Tuesday? Can't wait, I'm just glad I am sticking to something these days - had really gotten off track being sick this last year....Hope to see you soon. DeAnna
