Meridian Support Group

Hey yall, This is an E-mail that I got from Judi Nutt regarding Support group meeting. I will be there and I hope to see you all. Joyce OK -- you's guy's -- it's that time again, for that all WONDERFUL Gastric Bypass Support Group Meeting at East Mississippi Electric Power Association auditorium - Monday - November 6, 2006 at 5:30 pm. Please use the south door & that parking lot to enter the building. I really enjoyed our last meeting & since then we've had 2 ladies who've had their surgery & we're anxious to hear about them & how they're coming along. Our speaker this month will be - Shelly Atwood - who is a nurse & had Gastric Bypass Surgery a few years ago & looks absolutely wonderful. She has spoken to our group before - when we met elsewhere & was very informative & had alot of good information. I know we will enjoy her once again. I hope we have a large group to welcome her. It's getting that time of year when FOOD seems to be at the fore-front of e-v-e-r-y activity - so I know that "I" need support to keep "legal" & some of you may have the same issue. I'll have some more chicken salad & will try to have the recipe written down - this time. I'm looking forward to seeing you all - be safe & have a good weekend. P.S. Thank you to everyone in the Meridian Support Group that has called and inquired about my recent surgery. My surgery was in Birmingham, Al. at UAB on Nov. 1st. The surgery was "open" instead of "lap" but went well. Recovery has been slow but extremely painful. Moved to a regular room on friday, Nov. 3rd with hopes that recovery will begin to get better. Thank you to "Ree Ree", Judi, and Billy Ray for your calls and concern. Via Diane Griffin she, will update you as things progress. God Bless, Tanya Storey

Tanya..Sorry that I didnt call and check on you. I have been so busy I knew that you had the surgery I remember from when we met on the last meeting. Well I hope that your feeling well and hope things are going good for you. Hang in there your going ot do great. If you need anything please ask. Missie

Hello Meridian Support Group, Today was a good day for Tanya Storey. Recovery is coming along well. Walking the halls and getting about slowly, along with getting off the pain meds by IV. Dr. says that she will be able to come home on Monday if all goes well over the weekend. I will continue to keep all of you updated. Thank you again for the calls and prayers. Tanya Storey
