OH Carl..... I'm SO feeling your anxiety! Quitting smoking is damn near impossible! Let me tell ya though, this surgery will make you SO much better! I am so happy I had the surgery. I didn't even know how bad I felt until I lost the first 50 pounds. Then it was such an amazing difference! I love life now and have more energy than I know what to do with! I'm not trying to sway your decision one way or the other, just telling you how I feel. I had complications, but would do it all over again in a heartbeat! There's never been a doubt in my mind... barfing and all.... that I've ever regretted my decision. It is however a lifetime comittment, and not for everyone. I'd be happy to help you in any way I can. I had my surgery at CMMC and was, and still am, very pleased with everything. I've heard wonderful things about Dr. King also.
