What is the deal with pastas after surgery? I'm just talking about things like macaroni and cheese because thats all the pasta I eat. Karine

I eat all kinds of pasta.. if you dump on regular pasta try whole grain. You just have to try it to see if you can tolerate it. Good luck...mac and cheese easy mac cups are my fav lunch. Amy

Just high calorie - I know you can't eat much at this point, but several of us will tell you, that while you are in the "honeymoon period", MAKE IT COUNT. By all means, have things you want, just in moderation, balanced with plenty of "healthy" foods. I like the whole grain pastas, and I know Walmart has some sort of boxed whole grain mac and cheese - Think I will pick one up and see if it is any good or yuk - LOL... DeAnna

I eat just about any type of pasta that I want. Just remember that pasta does like rice, you may not think it is filling, but it swells when it gets to your tummy so it is very easy to overeat, which may make you Try things in moderation. Remember the rule to trying new foods, be sure to try one new food at a time because that way you can tell what does not agree with your new tummy. Best of luck, Rhonda

I'm still pre-op, but there's something call Shirataki Noodles that are made with Tofu. They taste just like regular pasta and are delicious with any pasta dish you've ever made. You can find it at online stores or at your local Asian food stores. Brandi :~)

Well, I'm still pre-op, so this might not apply to post-ops. But I make spaghetti, alfredo, stroganoff, buttered pasta with chicken, chicken spaghetti, etc.. I put it in my stews as well. It works with absolutely everything....for my tastes, anyway.

I'm three years out and can eat all of that...The key is ALWAYS moderation. Thanks, DeAnna

I can eat just about any kind of pasta, but I have to be careful with 'rich' pastas like chicken alfredos and any kind of fatty, creamy type of sauces. They make me feel like I try to eat a very small amount maybe 1/4 to 1/2 cup because it's very filling. I am 10 months out and I can eat mostly anything I want, im like dawn, I have a pouch of steel . But I have to watch a lot of fat. That makes me more ill than sugar does sometimes. I can have a really small amount of sugar but if I eat too much it's for me! crystal
