Rhonda fixed it for me - doesn't it look a little better? I moved here from the Memphis area...I loved it up there in North Mississippi - shopping was awesome in the Memphis area, and there is something to do all the time, plus two of my sisters live that direction, one above Memphis and the other in Senatobia. Have fun up there... DeAnna

There were a couple of pictures from Jane's bash of you that were great! You should use one of those. I would be glad to help you as well if you want. Just call me, 228-435-2910. Rhonda

I had a great time last night. It was so good seeing everybody. I did get home last night just in time to dump. Man, I was one sick puppy! No more pineapple or SF lemonade. I'm not sure which but I would just rather not try either again. That was horrid. I'm upping my B-12 and that seems to have a bit of an effect on my fatigue. Oh my, what a learning process this is. I am definately gonna come when I get home! DeAnna, you are looking very thin in the new photos you posted! HOw much have you lost since the summer? You look a lot smaller!~!!!! Keep repeating, Sugar is the enemy, it will kill you. Sugar in anything is bad, bad and bad! Try to eat the yummy things with Splenda. Blue Bunny ice cream is sooo good with Splenda. I bought the banana split one and yum soooo good (although I do have gas with it) LOL! But stops the sugar cravings. I carry small packets with me and also Slim fast bars in my purse. That way, if I go to the store and am tempted (although I KNOW sugar will make me sick) I can pull out one of those bars and eat it and it does help the munchies a lot. The peanut butter crunch one is just like a Butterfinger. Of course my doc said that even if cookies do not have sugar in them, if you eat the whole pack anyway, what good is that, and I have to admit, he IS right! Love ya! Cheryl

Hey, and thanks. I have only lost a little (still do not get on the scale), but just have finally gotten energy back. I am feeling sooooo much better these days. Right now, I think I would lose weight just by being able to be up and around more, but I was just able to get back to the gym about two weeks ago. I am hoping the weight will start moving now that the fatigue is over....Yes, sugar is definately the enemy - and since I have been watching that, I am doing better all around with food choices. Thanks for the tips and the encouragement.... Love ya too - D.

It was definatly a great meeting. It was so good to see everyone, and meet the newbies I haven't had the pleasure of meeting yet. I love going to support group. It keeps me accountable! I also have to go get on the doc's scale, just to verify! LOL HUGS Me.... your scale obsessed friend!

Hi DeAnna, I am very interested in attending the meetings and need additional information. Can any post-op or pre-op patient attend regardless of the surgeon used? How often are the meetings? I would love to meet all of you and I could certainly use structured meetings to keep me disciplined in dieting. Thanks for the info. Vivian S.

Hey, and anybody can attend, pre, post, or just in the thinking about it stage to get more info, and family members (friends) that might be your support team. I had surgery at a different place. The meetings are the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00. There is usually a speaker or someone to share some information, a dietician, dr, postop patient, etc. There is also a group session for postop patients (especially if a little further out and having trouble maintaining - like me). It is with a psychologist, Dr. Hawk. This group meets at 5:30 on the same day. The meeting is at CMMC. FYI - There is also a WLS patient support meeting at UMC, I believe the same night. I've never been to that one, but there are a few on here that do or have been there. So, there are a few around town. So, come on if you would like, would love to meet ya too - and if you need more info, just ask... DeAnna
