CMMC meeting last night
IT WAS AWESOME! I loved seeing you guys there last night - Karine, you are a joy to be around, what a beautiful smile and them big ole' eyes....Meghan, I think you are crazy just like me, we're gonna have a lot of fun - look out world. Glenda is just a lovely - sweet person, who I think can be very matter of fact and very refreshing. You girls are doing wonderfully with the weight loss and your support of others. I'm so proud of you all.
Kim Grimme, you know you are my crutch, what would I do without you - I'm glad you made me go to these last two meetings - You know I love you girl.
Now, I have made a vow to not have refined sugar until the next meeting (and hopefully longer than that)....We'll see if I can stick to it. I finally have more energy - getting over the anemia from the ulcer, and the just pure fatigue seems to be gone. Definately going to be exercising 3+ times a week and making better food choices.
We also talked at the meeting about others who were maybe further out, gaining weight and would not come to a meeting or even see their Dr. because of embarasment --- Well, I've gained 50 pounds, and I decided I need to do something about it, and got my tail in that meeting, especially the postop meeting at 5:30 - that's what Dr. Hawk (is that correct) is there for, to help us get through (and past) this, to get back on track. I want to encourage anybody who is like me, to come in and make that effort for yourself. This is a very caring, encouraging group, and you will be so glad you did.
Love to you all...DeAnna
DUH, That is the second time I have done that - Called Cheryl Grogan, Glenda - Just slap me the next time I do that - for some reason Cheryl, you look like a Glenda - I do apologize. I did mean CHERYL, not Glenda, above.....
Cheryl, I was so glad to see you last night. It is just so nice to walk into a meeting like that and see friendly faces.
DeAnna
Sounds like I need to come and crash one of ya'lls meetings one night especially the early one for longer out post ops. Our local group here in Hattiesburg has really dwindled down and I know it is because the post ops who are farther out don't feel they get anything from the meetings anymore. And it is true they are geared more toward preop and early post op issues. I just still go so I can be helpful and answer questions for others because I depended on others to do that for me. Plus it helps keep me in check and remember where I came from and I don't want to go back. But I really wish they would have an early meeting separate for those who are a year out or longer so that our issues can be discussed and addressed without us being fearful of scaring the newbies. LOL.
But you guys are a little too far away for me to crash. So you will just have to share the knowledge with me on here.

DeAnna, thank you for the kind words!! Even though I do have "chipmunk cheeks"... lol. I enjoyed the meeting last night and one of these darn days I'm going to make the 5:30 meeting. If it was at 6pm, I could make it... but alas, we can't rearrange it just for me. Thanks again for being there... and being a friend!
Love ya,
Karine
okay okay, no kissin up to you - LOL, although I will try.....
Well, I think your work should just rearrange their hours to accommodate us! Why are they so unreasonable? Maybe by the time you are 12-18 months out, something will have changed. That seems to be when you need it the most, although learning to maintain is where it is at too, and they do get to that in the 7:00 meeting. Last night was a good one.
Love ya too...D.
