Take one 2.5/3 oz red potato, bake/boil it to soft and puree with a stick blender or food processor. Add one baby spoon of low fat sour cream, sprinkle with ButterBuds and melt half a slice of american cheese. Blend together until cheese is melted, adding 1% milk to a soupy texture. Season with a huge helping of eating nothing but sugar free jello and sugar free popcicles for 10 days then eat. YUMMY!!! Meghan eating again, loving it and

Hey Meghan! I know how you feel. I told my Mom if I ever had Jello again it would be a long time. I am eating mostly thick soups and sf/ff pudding. It is so so good. I may have potatoes today. I go back to Dr on Thursday and he said I could start having real food! I can't wait to see what I can have. Hang in there and think about the future. Your Birthday Buddy, Cindi

Isn't it amazing how so many of us chose potato in some form at 'first meal'! I've seen on many posts that smashed potato is what we run to when released to 'food'. I'm using the quotes because, let's face it, until we can sink our teeth into something and chew for a bit, it is only food substitute. Don't get me wrong, I'm totally grateful for it but I'm a Philly cheesesteak kinda girl. The day I can get two ounces of shredded beef mixed with cooked peppers and onions, topped with a bit of provolone cheese, I'll know I'm going to be just fine. I must admit, that bowl (2.5 oz) of grits I just ate was pretty darned yummy too! You ladies around here have meant so much to me during all this. A shoulder to cry on, a bag to punch on, a laugh when I needed it and so very much information. Thank you! Meghan Testing out new food and still

I hear ya Meghan, I lived on O'Charley's potato soup (without the bacon - couldn't stomach that) and egg drop soup from the chinese resturant by my house! Danny said I am such a cheap date now... a bowl of egg drop would last me 3-4 days! lol You are doing so good, hang in there girl!
