Hi Everyone - Formal Introduction
Hi all,
I've been posting a few messages to the board for the past couple of weeks and I realized I probably need to introduce myself since I am new to the board.
My name is Vivian. I am 46 and I work in the Jackson area. I had lapband surgery in Mexico in May 2005 and then I had lapband surgery in Jackson, MS in February 2006. I have been on one heck of a roller coaster ride with having 2 surgeries in 9 months. I seem to be forging full speed ahead at last.
At any rate, it's nice to meet all of you (so to speak). With all that I have been through with my lapband perhaps I can add some encouraging words to anyone who needs them. I'm a survivor and a believer.
During the week I don't have a lot of time to check emails and message boards so I mainly check in on the weekends when I have a few minutes.
I'm glad you're all here and look forward to conversing with you.

P.S. The picture I posted is about 8 years old. Not much has changed except blonde highlights cover the gray and wrinkles have emerged where I never knew wrinkles could form. I'll update it when I have time to find a current photo. I'm at my mom's house tonight so I grabbed that one from my mother's wall and scanned it in. It will have to do for now. Not that anyone cares. Just didn't want you to think I was being dishonest!!
My name is Deborah Martin im 34 im wanting to have the lap band surgery.I am pretty nervous about it.I was wanting to know a little about the problems you had after yours.And anyone who has had it that might can write a line or two and tell me about there experience afterwards.good or bad i need to hear from different patients.thanks so much
