I need your prayers!!
Ok. I gave up when I was so close to doing my surgery. My buddy Nan Manning went through with hers and now she is doing so good. That could have been me. I am so ashamed of myself. I consider myself a strong person but I guess now i know just how big of a chicken I am. Just pray that I will get my act together and get back on track. I now weigh 255 and I am totally miserable. I know I can count on you guys becasue you ALL understand what being obese is all about.
Surgery is not the right answer for everyone. You have to be very sure that it is the right step for you. If you want to try again, then just start by dieting and exercising for the next 6 months and then if you have thought things thru and are committed then you may be ready for surgery. If not, you still have done something good for yourself. The little pouchie is only a tool. If you don't follow the diet, exercise and all the medications and vitamins, it will not work for you. Surgery is a lifestyle change, believe me. Now when I finish eating, I have to LEAVE the table. Cannot look at food at all. Surgery is a long long journey. I am a year out, and still losing, but I have to follow the diet and will the rest of my life. The weight does not just fall off either, it takes a lot of WORK.
We will be here for you no matter what your decision. We can still help you with things even if you don't choose to have surgery! Hang in there and love you for you!
