Update on Jim....
Well, it's not good, but I guess it could be worse.....
We got a letter from the urologist today in the mail. Jim has Chronic Kidney Disease Stage IV - which means the disease is severe and his urine output is about 25% of normal. From what I have read, this is NOT reversible and will eventually lead to kidney failure and dialysis and possible kidney transplant. (There are 5 stages of chronic kidney disease.) He is now taking a TON of vitamins - calcium, iron and D. His phorophus levels are very high which could cause a heart attack. I popped him in the head and told him to QUIT IT!!!! I am praying for a healing, but at the very least, if a healing is not in God's will, at least for him to be a happy camper despite it all and to somehow feel good.

Hi Arlies,
I know that you are going through a lot right now. I hope that Jim's health will improve and he will feel better. I know a lot about grumpy men right now as my DH is going in the hospital to have surgery day after tomorrow. Essentially he will have a similar surgery as ours, but for a tumor in his dueodeum, He has moaned and moaned, and I am SURE that this is just the beginning of a very long pull, since he will not get anything to eat for almost a week. Yikes!!!! Maybe we need to trade these old men on new models????LOL!!!! If you are like me, got too much time and effort invested at this point. Tell Jim to BEHAVE himself!!!!!
Take care of yourself, and hope things get better!
Love,
Cheryl
I am so sorry to hear about Jim's health problems. He needs to start taking better care of himself and stop being so stubborn. When you don't feel good, go to the doctor!! I have been telling J this for some time now too, he has been having some problems with his back, he has an MRI for tomorrow, so hopefully we will get some answers as to what is going on with him. Sorry I have not been on the board much, been really busy with work, school and Zach being here. J and I took a vacation last week after Zach left to go back home. Brandon stayed with a friend and we went on the cruise with my sister and 5 other couples, I got to see Sara and spend the day with her on Wednesday. She looks great!! Skinny little thing!! I love and miss her so much!! Life around here just is not the same without her!! I hope that you can come down to visit soon, you ALWAYS have a place to stay. Anytime!!
We Love you, be sure to take care of YOURSELF!!
