This is the first day since my surgery I don't feel so well. I have been walking 3 miles every morning and I started at the gym this past week. Today I have had a couple of dizzy spells and just feel icky. I am doing great on my vitamns But I really don't think I eat enough. When I do eat I feel full for several hours and don't feel like eating. My surgery was July 10 and Im down 44 pounds, But I have not lost but 1 pound since I started walking. Has anyone else felt like this?

I imagine the "oldies" (experienced loosers) are going to tell you that you are not eating enough compared to the amount of exercise you are doing. Also, are you on blood pressure medication? If so, it might need dosage reduction. Cheryl

Get your potassium /magnesium checked ASAP. Do you take B-12? Are you getting enough protein? I admire your 3 mile walk and exercise. Are you sure you are not overdoing it? Please email me or call me. Glenda

Keep walking! Before you walk are you getting in some protein. Most of us get dizzy if we exercise and havent had some protein first. Melissa especially -- she will plum pass out if she doesnt have protein before exercising. Your body is not used to the exercise yet and thinks you are in a fight for your life and is holding on to what you have trying to survive. It will realize after a few days that you are not in danger and it will start letting it go. I have been feeling icky lately when I eat. Almost to the point that I would rather just not eat. I am not really on a schdeule though and it doesnt help that I am working at the school. My lunch is at 10:30 so I am eating breakfast at 7 - lunch at 10:30 - by the time I get off at 2:40 I am hungry again and have a NOT SO HEALTHY bag of chips or crackers - then dinner later. I have to get myself back in the routine and have healthier snacks available. Keep up the good work and congrats on your 44 pound loss. Its wonderful! I am happy for you. It feels so good, doesnt it? How much are you drinking on a daily basis? Now that you are exercising you will need more fluids than normal. Dizziness is one of the signs of being dehydrated. When I was about as far out as you, I had that issue. I was dehydrated and had to get a drip to get myself rehydrated quickly. Then I drank more and never had another problem. Also, make sure to get some protein in before a workout with a little healthy carb with it like banana and peanut butter. Good luck. I hope you feel better soon.
