Me Update

Well I went for my 3 month check up Wed. was a week ago. All was good. My vitamin levels are back to normal & actually, my B-12 is a little high. Go figure !!! But thats ok, it sure beats being low. Trust me- I know. When I was admitted into the hospital in Feb. I weighed 290. At that point I had lost a total of 86 pounds. When I went for my check up, I weighed 231. So, since Feb. I've lost 59 pounds. Not too bad considering I can not walk !!! There is no telling how much I could have lost if I had of been able to exercise. So....... in all I have lost 145 pounds. I'm very happy about that. Can you tell ? Now on the glum side...... I'm still unable to walk on my own. However, with help...... I can walk about 50' before I am just give out. I am tired of having to depend on everyone for every thing. I want to go shopping, not that I have the money cause my meds are running well over $300.00 a month. Guess how much a 34 day hospital stay, 3 MRI's- with transportation to & from them by ambulance, Dr. visits from 4 extra docs & their tests, my doc & his test, blood test done 27 days, & all other things included in a hospital stay (IV's, Meds, etc.) are. ~~~~~ $156,000.00 ~~~~~ And to top it off, I have no insurance. If you have insurance..... BE THANKFUL. BE VERY THANKFUL. Am I whinning ? No I am not. Just telling it like it is for me. And in all honesty I know for a fact that there are those in this world who unfortunately have it a lot worse than me. Luv N Huggs, Tammy PS: Smile !!! Life is good. God is good. Congrats on the weight loss! I sympathize with you on the hospital stays. My bill was 110,000.00 I was in ICU for 7 days and in the regular hospital for 8 days. But by the grace of God, I had two insurances, mine and hubbby's. I'm sorry you had to stay so long in the hospital, I know that had to be tough. I thought I would go crazy staying in there for 15 days. Your right though, it could be a lot worse. At least you still have your life. That's one thing I am forever grateful for. I almost died with this surgery, so no matter how bad things got for me, its' betterthan the alternative. Well very happy for you on your weight loss I'll be glad when I can say I have lost that much. Hugs crystal

Hey Crystal, Bless your heart. I know you went thru heck. But my hospital stay really wasn't too bad. We became friends with all the nurses & dr's. And even tho I've been out of the hospital for 6 months now, they still call & check up on me. The nurses on 2-East @ Anderson's are the best !!! And, we have been thru it- but we are still here. And that is great You will lose it before you know it. Just take one day at a time. Or take it like I do- hour by hour. ( I have a lot of time on my hands ) luv N hugs, Tammy

Hey Donna, I'm glad to be able to post more with y'all. I do a lot of lurking. But I know that is not the same. Thank you so much for the prayers. They mean a lot to me.
