Moving to the Biloxi area

Hi all! My family is moving to the Biloxi area Sept 15 and I'm wondering if any of you know if a doctor(WLS) in the area would pick up my aftercare? I'm 3 years out and don't see how I can make the trip to see my surgeon in Oxford, MS. If any of you have any advise, please let me know. Thank you, Beth

Hi Beth! I use Dr. Avara in Ocean Springs, MS. His staff is great and he is wonderful. Here is his number, 1.800.537.8809. You can call and talk to them. I think your only other options are Mobile and New Orleans. Welcome to the COAST!!! -Pam

Hey, I've seen ya on the Alabama board, or maybe the grads board??? Not good with remembering (LOL)...I live in the Jackson/Reservoir area, so no help with doctors, but there are a good many of "us" in the Biloxi/coastal area, so lots of GOOD support down there....And BTW, we are having a MS bash down there somewhere (Jan's house) about September 30th, so by all means if you can, get to that one so we can meet ya in person....I know the AL board is pretty close, and you will find that the MS group is pretty close also. Lots of us are busy with school starting and such, but more posting goes on when all that dies down a little.... Welcome to MS.... DeAnna

DeAnna, Thanks for the invitation to the MS bash, but not sure I could make this one. I'm sure I'll still be unpacking! Then once settled, I have to get myself in gear to do admissions to either USM or USA to finish up my degree. BTW, Dr. King was my surgeon too. I just love him, but don't see it possible to trek there for my follow-ups. Again, thanks for responding to my post. Beth
