4th post op visit...new doc

Dr. Ferrugia was my surgeon. I can't say enough good about him. I only have one negative thing to say and that is "he moved to Colorado!". Anyway I had my first appt yesterday with Dr. Cummins. Officially lost 34 lbs in 5 weeks. Now that my wound is healed and the heat index is much less that the last 5 weeks I will be walking starting this evening. Bought new walking shoes too ! Next post op visit is in 6 weeks. Were you there Karine? Cheryl

Hey Cheryl! I'm glad your appointment went well with Dr. Cummins. I was there. I had to wait an hour before I even got back to see her. My visit went okay I guess. My infected incision is healing fine. I only lost 8 lbs though and was really depressed about it yesterday. I go back in 2 weeks to see her and hopefully my incision would have healed by then so I can get back to exercising. Karine

I left out right at 2:00. I even stopped in the waiting room to put my glasses on and looked around but didn't see you there. Cheryl

That was YOU?!!! lol I saw you and wondered if that was you. I was sitting in the very back corner. I had a blue shirt on with navy blue pants. I was just sitting there watching the idiot box... lol. Karine

Don't be depressed about "only 8 pounds" cause you never know, you could still be holding fluid, water weight from surgery, especially since you have an infected incision. I did not even care during the first month or two if I lost a thing, I just concentrated on feeling better and getting strength/energy back. It will happen, and you cannot compare your weight loss to others, cause that will depress you (jk). Mine was "slow but steady" for about 18 months, and I looked and felt GREAT....I know you are going to do wonderfully, especially when you can get to walking lots and getting in plenty of fluids and such......D.
